Start wherever you are. The team welcomes students who are completely new to speech and debate, as well as students who already know the event they want to pursue.

Register with context
Share your interests, experience, safety information, and permissions so the staff can start you in the right place.
Step 03
Meet and begin
Coaches will review the submission, follow up on anything needed, and help you find a practice group or first event.
Before you start
A strong beginning is simple.
Set aside a few minutes with a parent or guardian. The registration covers the details coaches need before a student participates in practices, competitions, or team travel.
- A student email and phone number
- A parent or guardian contact and an emergency contact
- A sense of which events or skills sound interesting
- Time to read and acknowledge the team Code of Conduct
- The $100 registration fee plan, even if payment is recorded later by staff
No experience required
You learn by trying.
Your first goal is not to win every round. It is to prepare honestly, learn quickly, and leave the room a little stronger than you entered it.
